Doobiefloyd, I live within a mile of the location where this tragedy took place. This occurred at Blanding and Kingfisher (south of Knight Boxx & Bear Run, near the Tractor Supply Corporation store, approximately 1/2 mile north of Old Jennings). There is no stop sign or traffic light at this intersection, (left turn only when going south). Heading south on Blanding, the speed limit changes from 45 to 55 right after Bear Run, very close to Kingfisher. If the motorcyclist was indeed doing over 100mph, I will have no sympathy for him when he receives his sentencing.

Is the intersection where this tragic accident occurred controlled by traffic lights or just a stop sign? Did the bike rider obey signals? was there witnesses? We never get details on incidents like these, but I will say, as a motorcycle rider myself, that we MUST pay attention to ANY possibility of a potential safety issue at ALL times and attempt to prevent these incidents by being pro-active. Some events are not preventable by one if BOTH individuals are not paying attention... it is not always the motorist's fault.
