The Agency for Workforce Innovation wants to get more money in the hands of Florida's unemployed.

Cynthia Lorenzo, the agency's director, says they're reaching out to people who've spent months looking for a job and are running low on cash.

"This new incentive benefits program is really great news for Floridians who have exhausted all other forms of unemployment compensation benefits and need some additional financial support while they look for work," says Lorenzo.

You could earn $300 a week for up to 20 weeks. Lorenzo says federal stimulus money is also supplying over $5,000 in retroactive payments per application going as far back as February.

They've already reach 250,000 people from across the state who qualify. You can go to the Agency for Workforce Innovation website to fill out the application.
