Detective Stephanie Hembree says a white man in his 30's wearing a red ball cap and white shirt entered a 92-year-old woman's condo while she watched the fireworks show and attacked her when she returned home.

"Everybody's upset about this.  The community is upset, the officers that handled the case are upset.  So it's a very sad case."

Police are stepping up police presence in the area around 1st Street North and A1A but say they don't believe the attacker knew his victim.
