A Middleburg animal shelter is having trouble finding enough food for its dogs.
The Safe Animal Shelter is a no kill shelter that relies on donations for everything.
Laura tells our news partner channel four that they are down to less than a week's worth of food.
"It's been about three of four years since we have been down as low as we are right now. I think we have about two bags of Purina Puppy Chow left," she said.
They are taking care of 50 dogs that care for require 2 to 4 cups of food a day. She said the animals are already stressed by being in the shelter so it is important to make sure they eat well.
You offer your help by calling the shelter at 904-276-7233.
