Senate Candidate Rubio Gets Airtime on Hannity Show
Florida's former Speaker of the House made it onto the Sean Hannity Show Thursday afternoon to distinguish himself from his Republican rival for the Senate Seat, Governor Charlie Crist. He blasted Crist for supporting President Obama and accused Crist of looking more like a Democrat after accepting the federal stimulus dollars.
"I always tell people, the more Republicans are like Democrats, the less need there is for Republicans," says Rubio. "People are looking for an alternative. I believe our country is on the verge of a great awakening. The tea parties are the beginning of that. And they're angry at both parties, for example - deficit spending."
He added that the stimulus bill will leave his children and millions of others in the coming generations in debt.
If Rubio wins the nomination in the primary election, he'll have Democratic Congressman Kendrick Meek to compete with in the general election.
What others are saying
- Marco RubioRubio is the real deal! I'm going to vote for him. Crist is a SELLOUT OBAMA LOVIN RINO!
- No More Moderates VOTE RUBIO PLEASE!Mel wanted to vote no on the stimulus and Crist rode his back until he voted yes and Crist is taking it all and running for Senator, I hope he loses, he had fed Florida nothing but Bull $#!+ since he was Education Commissioner and people just keep voting for him...NOT ME! If Floridians really need to vote for crist just vote for the democratic candidate you will know exactly what you will get if you do, not another RINO.
- No more moderatesI did not agree with moderate Mel because he was a RINO. Thank You for your SPINE , and please beat Gov. Christ!
- RubioI like Rubio. He can sometimes sound scripted in an interview but it's amazing how off-telleprompter he'll be in a speach. The guy is young, charismatic, and a consistent conservative. What's not to like? I'm glad he got some time on Hannity and hope it will help. His one big detriment is obscurity in comparrison with a prominent and political opportunor of a governor.
- Candidate Rubio Blasts CristI didn't vote for Crist for Governor because he is too liberal. In fact I did not vote for Governor at all because I refuse to vote for liberal or liberal lite. And, I will not vote for Crist even if he wins the primary. This country will just have to go socialist without my help!!!!
- I agreeLooks like someone has finally called out Gov.Crist on his repulicrat stance.Good for you Mr.Rubio.
