Investigators say the pilot of the plane radioed the tower saying they'd lost power and needed to land.

The plane cracked in half on the way down, and left one of its wings stuck in a tree.  No one was seriously hurt.

The plane came down a few hundred feet from the nearest home and didn't damage any property.

The NTSB is investigating why the plane's engine failed.
