Democrats Register Thousands of First-Time Voters

Duval County elections officials expect more people than ever to cast ballots next month. And political experts think it could spell a win for Barack Obama.

"There are unprecedented efforts by the Democrats this year in Florida to get out the vote," University of North Florida political scientist Matthew Corrigan says. "Republicans have a pretty good record of this and Democrats are trying to match them."

Duval County Supervisor of Elections Jerry Holland predicts 85 percent of registered voters will show up at the polls on Election Day, eclipsing the 84.6 percent figure set way back in 1952.

Corrigan says many first-time voters will include young and minority populations that traditionally lean left and Democratic.

"But the polls are very difficult to interpret because if we have this massive turnout of new voters it could really turn the polls on their head," he warns.

Obama is sporting a growing lead in Florida, up eight percent in some polls and leading or tied in all but one survey.

"Florida is a critical state, especially for McCain," Corrigan says. "If Obama can somehow steal Florida from McCain it's very difficult to see how McCain can put the states together to win the election."

If the black minorities (which clearly are the majority of voters that will vote for Obama) Would put aside the fact that Obama is black and and vote for the most qualified person to run this country McCain and Palin would most definitely win this election.

The hatchet-job the media has done on this election has virtually assured an Obama victory. If you truly care about our country, do your homework. ACORN plays a large part in this, which contributes to voter fraud, as well as ACORN Housing, which contributed to this financial crisis. Obama is in their back pocket and is just another one of his unethical/illegal connections.

First-Time Voters
Please vote only if you have taken the time to think about what your choice will mean for this country. If you can't name the current Governor, Mayor, State Senators, President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, Secretary of State and others in our government. Please get involved and do some homework before casting your ballot. Remember America was ment to be a REPUBLIC not a Democracy -- if you don't know the difference -- LEARN. Governments primary purpose is to protect it's citizens not babysit and support you from the cradle to the grave. Be Responsible for your self.
