Four people injured in a three car accident.  Two of them are in serious condition after the Florida Highway Patrol says the driver tried to elude police.

The incident happened at 8:15 on State Road A1A in St. Johns County Tuesday.

That's when 24-year old Gregory Desir was speeding going north on A1A trying to get away from an officer attempting to pull him over.

He and the passenger, 23-year old Jeffrey Sargeant, were transported to area hospitals in serious condition.  The two were not wearing a seatbelt.

Authorities say Desir crossed the center median hitting two oncoming cars.

Two people in a Toyota van were not injured but two people in a Dodge SUV suffered minor injuries including a 2 year old child.
