Storm Water Fee Workshop

Jacksonville holds two workshop to help people who might be exempt from the storm water fee.

You might be able exempt from the new storm water fee.

Jacksonville is holding a workshop Tuesday night to help people who are eligible for a storm water fee exemption.

"For those in the community who may not be aware that they qualify for the exemption of the storm water fee," said Jacksonville City Council woman Mia Jones.

She says that low income, elderly, disabled people are all eligible for an exemption.

There are many circumstances in which someone can get an exemption and Jones urges anyone wondering if they are eligible.

She says you will need your address and proof of income or retirement, social security or disability income. Applications must be received by July 1st.

There will be two workshops the first is Tuesday night June 17 at 6 p.m. at Ed White High School. The second is on June 23 at 6 p.m. at Raines High School.
