Westside Drainage Project

The City of Jacksonville is working on improving drainage for residents near Mills Branch Creek on the westside.

The dredging work should be done in September.

"The dredging will extend from Old Middleburg Road southeasterly for about 1.2 miles and will end near London Towne Lane and Hyde Park Circle," says City of Jacksonville spokesperson Misty Skipper.

This project was already earmarked with dollars in this year's budget which means it won't come out of the newly billed stormwater fee.

However, projects like this one will have dedicated funding with the new stormwater fee says Skipper.

That bill should be showing up in your mailbox soon, if you don't already have it.
