Project Breakthough: Dinner with a Difference
The Jacksonville Human Rights Commission says Tuesday is a good time to get involved with Project Breakthrough Study Circles.
JHRC calls it "A Community Effort to Change the Story of Race". It's a 2 year initiative that will help them focus on one or two projects to change racial inequality.
"It could be around health issues or economic development or employment," says Charlene Taylor-Hill, Executive Director.
Hill says they'll choose which issue to focus on by the end of the year and work on its implementation the next year.
Study Circles are smaller groups that meet all around town at various times.
Registration is at 5:30. The dinner starts at 6 o'clock. It's at the Bethelite Conference Center, 5845 Arliongton Expressway.
