Moving Day at THE PLAYERS I just returned from the course. It is not nearly as windy as it was yesterday, so I think we'll see some players in the afternoon put up some scores. The past two days, the afternoon has been brutal. Looking at the top of the leaderboard, there are only three "big name" competators. One of them is 50-year old Bernhard Langer. one is Tom Lehman, who hasn't won a tournament of this stature since the 1996 Tour Championship. The other, happens to be the defending champion, Phil Mickelson. If experience means anything--and at THE PLAYERS, it traditionally has--then Mickelson could be in great shape if he can finish off his round in good shape today. Some of the other names at or near the top of the leaderboard include Paul Goydos, Kenny Perry, J.B. Holmes, Jeff Quinney, Greg Kraft. Think Mickelson will fear any of those guys on Sunday? Probably not. -The 17th continues to be tough. 45 balls have gone in the water so far this week. I'm envisioning a memorable moment on 17 for tomorrow's final round.
