Furyk Not Concerned About Tiger-Free Field
So one of the big questions at the Players this year is what will Tiger's absence mean. That still remains to be seen. Will it affect television ratings? Maybe. Will it affect attendance..not likley. How about the players themselves?
Will they notice that Tiger isn't on the course? Well, they won't be blind to it, but Jim Furyk was in a mood to give Tiger a little shot yesterday.
"If he was here I'd tease him and say 'He wasn't really a factor in the past, what's the difference?' Then he'd call me some things you wouldn't be able to put on the air."
Other than his win in 2000, Woods hasn't had the same kind of success as he has enjoyed in other tournaments.
Still, Furyk doesn't think that anyone will change their gameplan with Tiger not around this week.
