Demolition is going on now on a 40 year old concourse at Jacksonville International Airport. The new Concourse A opened less than two weeks ago so the old Concourse A has to go.

"Right now we can only use the westside of the new concourse because the old Concourse A and the new Concourse A are close together," says Aviation Authority spokesman Michael Stewart.

Stewart says the demolition will take about 3 or 4 weeks.  He says then they'll start on the ramp for the eastside of the new concourse which should open in November.

At the same time they'll open the new Concourse C and the cycle starts all over again.
