A sleeping 12-year old boy in Northwest Jacksonville gets a surprise wakeup call by a burglar with a gun.

Police say the boy was home alone Wednesday morning when a man kicked in the door to his apartment.

"12-year old kid, early morning hours, home alone. And he was in bed and he wakes up to his front door being kicked in," JSO's Melissa Bujeda said.

Police reports say the man waved a gun in the boy's face and demanded money.

The man ransacked the apartment before leaving without hurting the boy. As soon as the man left the boy called police.

Police are still looking for that man.
