Patrick Holmes died at the scene.

Cops believe there were other people in the car with Holmes but they took off before the first medics could arrive.

Jacksonville police now think that Holmes was the get away driver for a robbery. And that the two other people in the car were involved in a crime.

They are now looking for them as suspects.

However, the family for Patrick Holmes said they didn't see this coming.

"He's just a sweet young man, and it's just a tragedy that is happened to him in this kind of way. It's just, right now we just don't understand," Holmes cousin Melissa Henderson said.
