It was a deadly weekend across Northeast Florida.
Several people were killed in crashes on our roads.
Police say 42 year old Domingo Gonzalez was driving on Blanding Boulevard just south of State Road 16 Sunday morning when the driver of an SUV crossed the center line and slammed into his truck.
Gonzalez died at the scene and a passenger in his vehicle had minor injuries.
43 year old Cindy Zink of Jacksonville was driving the SUV, she's reportedly in critical condition.
Police have not said why they think she crossed the median.
Early Sunday morning, a 28 year-old man from Middleburg was killed in an ATV accident.
Police say Brian Lawson died when he lost control of his ATV behind the Antler's Run subdivision.
Clay County Fire and Rescue says Lawson died at the scene after he was thrown from the machine. He was not wearing a helmet.
A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a car in Lakewood.
Police say the rider was crossing San Jose Boulevard Saturday afternoon and apparently darted into traffic.
The driver of a car didn't have time to stop and hit the rider head-on.
So far the names of the people involved haven't been released. Investigators haven't said if charges will be filed against the driver.
A high speed police chase ends with two people seriously injured on Roosevelt Boulevard in front of Naval Air Station Jacksonville.
The Florida Highway Patrol says 50 year-old Frederick Dutton and his wife Barbara Dutton were driving the wrong way on Roosevelt Blvd. Saturday night, while trying to get away.
Their car crashed into a police cruiser and a car that was stopped at the Birmingham gate of NAS Jax.
Frederick Dutton and the driver of the car he hit were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The officer in the cruiser was not hurt.
