Comments Bushes have made about daughter's wedding By The Associated Press Comments President and Mrs. Bush have made in public or during recent interviews about his daughter Jenna's wedding Saturday to Henry Hager: "Neither one of us are nervous. I'm very, very excited. It's a very interesting passage of life when you get to that time in your life when your child, first child is getting married _ and we're getting, for us, our first son. So it's a thrill and we're very happy about it." _ First lady Laura Bush, May 5. "I thank you for rescheduling this ceremony so I could make it. I know you originally planned to hold the commencement next weekend _ it's the same weekend as my daughter's wedding. I could have suggested changing the date of the wedding instead. I think we all know how that would have turned out." _ President Bush at high school commencement in Greensburg, Kan., May 4. "Senator McCain is not here. He probably wanted to distance himself from me a little bit. You know, he's not alone. Jenna is moving out, too." _ President Bush at White House Correspondents' Association dinner, April 26. "A lot has changed since I first spoke to this group. I had to face some very difficult spending decisions and I've had to conduct sensitive diplomacy. That's called planning for a wedding." _ President Bush speaking to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, March 12. "I'm a little late because Laura had me watching `Father of the Bride.' ... I didn't finish it. I'm going to make my remarks short and go home and watch it. It's going to be a big year for us. So the guy comes to see me, and he says, I want to marry your daughter. I said, done deal." _ President Bush at Kuwait-America Foundation dinner, March 12.
