In a classic, election year hearing, Democrats led the way Tuesday in giving a tongue-lashing to executives of five major oil companies, denouncing their high profits and vowing to get rid of $18 billion in special exploration tax breaks for the industry.

After seeing the Barack Obama "Sold Out" tour in College Park, Maryland, I hustled down I-95 to Richmond, Virginia to check out John McCain as he wrapped up his campaign in the Commonwealth.

Nothing against McCain, but going to a "regular" campaign event after you've been to an Obama rally with 20,000 people is pretty much a downer.
