Del Rio Offered USC Coaching Job
The buzz in Southern California this moring is that Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio is USC's choice to fill the University's coaching vacancy. The Los Angeles Daily News is reporting Del Rio has been offered a contract by USC.

Del Rio did not accept the offer yet, but is meeting with Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver later today to talk about his future with the team.
The coach was spotted leaving Jacksonville Municipal Stadium late last night, but did not say anything to reporters as he headed to his car.
Del Rio is a former linebacker at USC and quickly became a top candidate for the USC post after Oregon State coach Mike Reily and Tennesse Titans coach (and USC alum) Jeff Fisher said they were not interested in the Trojans job.
"I'm working on the next step, and when I finish, you'll hear from me," USC athletic director Mike Garrett said Monday.
Del Rio has had mixed success as an NFL coach, posting a 58-57 record in seven seasons with the Jaguars and winning just a single playoff game. Weaver has indicated the Jaguars are not performing up to the standards he's set for the team, adding to speculation Del Rio's future in Jacksonville may not be long.
Del Rio has three years and $15 million remaining on his deal with the Jaguars. If Weaver were to fire the coach, the team would owe Del Rio the remainder of that cash. However, if Del Rio resigned to take another job, he would lose out on the money.
The USC job became available over the weekend when Pete Carroll stepped down to take over the head coaching position for the Seattle Seahawks.
