Failure in All Phases of the Game
OFFENSE:
The first drive looked for both teams looked good. Arizona took the ball and scored a td in 11 plays, 75 yards in almost 7 minutes. The Jags responded well, on their first possession they drove the ball 62 yards in 7 plays for a field goal. After that it all went downhill for the Jags. While the Cardinals continued to score the Jags next 6 drives ended like this: blocked field goal, punt, fumble, punt, punt, fumble. The jags add a few scores late after the game was already out of reach and the Cardinals pulled Kurt Warner. Before leaving the game Warner set an NFL record with a completion percentage of 92.3 (24 of 26). At one point he completed 15 straight passes. Garrard not so much, sure he completed 23 passes but he also threw 43.

DEFENSE:
The Jaguars forced five fumbles on the day problem was that they only recovered two. The Cards Also recovered 2 fumbles, and they win the turnover battle after forcing a Garrard interception. The Defensive stats were surprisingly very close. The Jags gave up 265 yards in the air and 118 yards on the ground. The Cardinals gave up 280 yards in the air and 92 rush yards. The problem for the Jags was they just could get any pressure on Kurt Warner they had zero sacks, while the Cards hit Garrard for 4. The Cards get the win on Defense because they held the jags to 3 points until very late in the third, Jags Gave up 31

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Again the stats start off almost even. No team had any big kickoff or punt returns. Both kickers went 1 for 2 on field goals and didn't miss any extra points. But we all what gives the Cardinals they edge. The Jags second drive trailing 10 to 3 our boys line up for the field goal that would keep the game close and put the pressure back on the Cards. Snap good, hold good, kick... blocked. If that wasn't bad enough the Cards take it back 83 yards for the score. The Jags looked uninterested in trying to tackle Antrel Rolle, or even make an attempt as he ran down the side line and across the entire field. So instead of being in a close game10-6 the Jags trailed 17-3 and the game was all but over
WIN CARDINALS
Jack Del Rio wants his teams to win all three phases and the Jags couldn't win one. I would not like to be a jags player this week. It doesn't get any easier this week when the Jags travel to Houston.
What others are saying
- The Jaguars are not entertaining. The Jaguars are not a sports team you want to pay $100 and more to watch. Better to give to charity. Del Rio not a motivator, Weaver blind.
- Peterson - Williams THANK YOUOn behalf of Falcons fans everywhere, I want to give a big thanks to Jack Del Rio for giving us Mike Peterson and Brian Williams. Peterson has been a beast, and Williams has more than held his own in pass coverage. They've made the biggest defensive and special teams plays of the year. We would probably be 0-2 without them. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.
- Failure to win...The truth shall set you free! I must agree with "LARRY", it is the players who have no desire to win, PERIOD! I say, stop with blaming the good people of this town who have given ANY team the tools, facilities, and support to win at least 50% of the games they play at home! The local press operatives are trying to find a way to shame the people of this town into giving more of their hard EARNED dollars to a bunch of uninspired MILLIONAIRES who essentially play only well enough to scam us out of that money for as long as possible, then go somewhere else to perpetrate the same scam, propping up their own easy street to wealth and fame! Does this smell like "Professional Wrestling" to anyone but me?
- Blame the players...I'm tired of the press blaming the fans, the fans blaming the coach and the owner keeping us all on edge about an impending move. Let's tak a moment to blame the only people in a place to actually defend and put points on the scoreboard. The losses are the players fault. The bad attendance is the players fault. Want to sell some tickets? Score some points and defend your half of the field once in a while....
