Wayne Weaver on Blackouts, Monroe Signing
Ahead of Saturday's scrimmage, the Jaguars owner is facing a challenging season as fans prioritize needs.
Speaking with Jacksonville's Morning News Friday, Wayne Weaver said it's a shame they won't be able to sell out home games.
"But we have to be realistic". He says the global recession has hit Florida especially hard. And he understands you're having to prioritize your expenses, and tickets may be not be too high on the list.
"What we've tried to do is give them a number of different options so that they can pick an options that's affordable for them to participate in".
...things like single game and half season tickets.
Weaver says contract negotiations with first round pick Eugene Monroe continue and he hopes to have him signed soon.

- Jaguar TicketsMr Weaver
Your marketing department needs to be more aggressive....We have had season tickets since the Jaguars were born...
This year I requested parking closer to the stadium because I have problems walking...Never got a call back or calls at all about renewing my (4) tickets...You can blame the whatever you want on not selling tickets...I'd blame your marketing department...WAS SEASON TICKET HOLDER #ID 417121 - MonroeGood luck with this guy signing, all his agent sees is $$$$$$$$$$ and he listens to his agent. Monroe should follow Crabtree and go into next year's draft, in which they will get paid less thanm this year!!!!! HAHA
