"We have to stop talking about the little things almost being there and how close we are, because that's not going to get you wins," Garrard said. "It's actually following through and finishing on those little things. We have to do a better job of that."

I think Garrard is right with that thought. For most of this season, the Jaguars have been saying that they were "THIS CLOSE." But they haven't closed the gap. DT Derek Landri joined us after the game and I asked him what he thought the Jaguars had to do next.

"You have to look at yourself," Landri said. "Come to work Monday, get it out of your head and start winning games. I think it starts with everybody looking at themselves."

There were, actually some bright spots in the loss, but they were blotted out by the game that likely ended the Jaguars chances of making the playoffs. Jack Del Rio's team blew a 14-3 halftime lead. The offense in the second half? Non-existent. They punted six times, then threw an interception, then turned it over on downs. That won't win you many games. Del Rio will do whatever he can to keep his squad motivated.

"The reality is that we're in must win or you're out of [playoff] consideration," Del Rio admitted. "Those are very dim hopes."

One of those bright spots that I spoke about was the play of Maurice Jones Drew. The Jaguars running back scored both of the Jaguars touchdowns.

"Find a way to win, because right now we're finding ways to lose and that's not how we want to go about this season," Drew said.

Drew is now tied for the NFL lead with 11 rushing touchdowns.

Next for the Jaguars, it's a visit from the Vikings on Sunday.
