Getting Numb To The Drama
Maybe its just me, but as Troy Williamson went on about his (faux?) desire to scrap with Vikings head coach Brad Childress, I thought, is this the best we can do?
THis year has been so full of stories for the Jaguars: most of them bad.
- Matt Jones arrest/suspension/appeal/denial and the huge step forward he made on the field.
- Trading up for Derrick Harvey, his holdout, and lack of production.
- Injuries on the offensive line and the huge impact on the season.
- The shooting of Richard Collier, the paralysis and the eventual amputation of his leg.
- Mike Peterson sent home, then benched, then demoted.
- The locker moves and Jack Del Rio's banning of music and dominoes in the locker room.
- The return of Chris Naeole, and his injury in pre-game warm ups.
I could go on.
The point is, that while Williamson was railing against his former head coach, saying that he'd like to meet Brad Childress at the 50 yard line for a fight, I was numb.
Okay, it was a little titilating, but that's the best we can do?
The sad thing is, I think we're in for more drama before the year is out. Stay tuned.
What others are saying
- Sell the jaguars, give us all a breakanother season down the toilet. I GIVE UP! Why i continue to support this team is beyond me. Heres a suggestion: why not try to run fred taylor up the sides instead of up the middle EVERY TIME! Why not try and win a game in the 1st quarter instead of trying to win it in the last 10 seconds of the 4th quarter. Heres a great one too: DONT GIVE WINLESS TEAMS THEIR ONLY WIN! Don't lose games at home.
I'm done....this will be the last year i get season tickets. I've gotten them every year since 1995, but i'm done wasting my time on a team that does not want to play quality football. Besides, the games have gotten boring and going to the stadium is lame. I'd much rather watch them at home with this piss poor quality of play.
