Del Rio Has Been Here Before
Jack Del Rio isn't going to predict anything crazy, but he has been through something like this. The Jaguars struggles were on the mind of the head coach on last nights Jack Del Rio Show.
"There was a time in Baltimore when we were 3-4 and we had the same type of dispair setting in. then we never lost again," Del Rio said, referring to the Ravens Super Bowl winning team in 2000.
That was the Ravens team that won the Super Bowl. Now, that may seem a long way off for the Jaguars, but Del Rio's experience eight years ago may pay dividends this year for the Jaguars.
Jack Del Rio spent much of last night in the role of motivational speaker. He's urging fans--as he is the players--to stay positive.
One of the situations that Jack Del Rio will have to answer is whether they'll have Matt Jones and John Henderson this week. You know about Jones' appeal of a suspension stemming from the drug arrest in the off-season. We have no word on that yet. Henderson could face some discipline from the league after he lost his cool and went after Bengals lineman Andrew Whitworth.
"We're going to leave that up to the commissioner," Del Rio said. "We're disappointed that the incident occurred at all."
