Del Rio Dodges Questions About Peterson's Future
The next chapter in the Jaguars drama is going to involve Mike Peterson's future with the team. Yesterday, Jack Del Rio noted that Darryl Smith had won the game ball for his play at middle linebacker.
"He is a natural middle linebacker," Del Rio said of Smith. "He played middle linebacker in college. He did a good job for us in there. So we'll see."
So the question facing the Jaguars is where do you go from here with Peterson. He isn't likely in the team's plans for next year, so do you keep him in the lineup the rest of this year? Del Rio didn't want any part of that question yesterday.
"My plan is to dance around this one and move onto the next subject," Del Rio said.
We may get further answer on the field Sunday when the Jaguars face the unbeaten Titans.
