Del Rio And Peterson To Meet
Yesterday, Mike Peterson was no where to be found at the Jaguars facility. That was one day after Jack Del Rio sent him home.
Now, Brian Sexton is reporting that Del Rio and Peterson are scheduled for a one-on-one meeting today to try to resolve the issue.
Now, Peterson hasn't practiced all week, so it remains to be seen if he'll play on Sunday, and if he does, how well he'll do. Most of Peterson's fellow linebackers didn't want to talk too much about the situation yesterday, but veteran defensive end Reggie Hayward did have some thoughts.
"When things aren't going right, when we don't win, tempers flair and we have disagreements," Hayward said. "We all have the same goals. We all want to win. Hopefully they can get together and put this thing behind us."
Thursday was the second straight day that the Jaguars co-captain has missed practice. There is a chance that Del Rio and Peterson will smooth things over today and he could be back in the lineup. Then again, there's a chance he won't. If he doesn't play, Darryl Smith would move to the middle linebacker position.
