Matt Jones Avoids Drug Trial
It appears that Matt Jones will not go to trial on cocaine charges.
The Morning News of Northwest Arkansas reports that Jones will enter Drug Court in Washington County, Arkansas.
That means that for the next 9 months, Jones will be subjected to at least 78 random drug tests, he'll undergo therapy and must complete community service.
If he tests positive or is non-compliant, he'll go to jail. If he makes it through the 9 months clean, the charges will be dropped. How that will be viewed by the league and what kind of action the commissioner's office is yet to be determined.
