Also, somehow, Cole Pepper's Blackjack BBQ Sauce has made it to five years! Oh, how time flies. You can check out an article about the sauce from the Financial News and Daily Record. Also, pick up the most recent issue of Jacksonville Magazine. I'm the subject of their "10 Things You Didn't Know About..." back page piece. A little background. The day we took the pictures for the article happened to be the hottest day of the year. It was nearly 100 degrees and humid. We shot the pics in my backyard with me cooking ribs on my Big Green Egg, maybe the best wedding gift we received. Needless to say, I was a sweaty mess.

Also at that shoot, the creative director for the magazine brought her dauchshund "Bud" over to the house. My wife and I had been considering a doxie as our first dog together and that sealed it. Bud is a cool dog! Bud clinched it for us and so we rescued a puppy from the Brunswick Humane Society.

This is Penny, who was left in a box with a dozen or so other puppies. Someone left them over the fence at the Humane Society in Brunswick. I suppose that's better than leaving them somewhere else.
