This is the place where I'll let you in on what's on my mind. Some of the topics I'll cover will be sports related and some of it will be outside of sports.

My hope is that we will create a dialog through this blog about topics that are important me and the listeners and WOKV.com readers at large.

Coming up this week, I'll have some thoughts on training camp opening and some other things that are on my mind.

Let's start with this: what are your expectations for the upcoming Jaguars season? I've had that question asked of me so many times in the past couple of months. "How are we going to be this year?"

After last year's run at the end of the season and the win over Pittsburgh in the playoffs, there is an energy among fans that I havent' seen in Jacksonville since the 2000 preseason. That team was coming off that appearance in the AFC Championship game the previous year.

I'm going to wait to make my prediction on the season until after training camp, but in a broad sense, I believe that the Jaguars are a contender. The question is, are they a division title contender or a Super Bowl contender.

Either way, it promises to be quite a year.
