A listener and WOKV.com surfer, Wayne, posted this comment about the possibility of Georgia and Florida both coming to Jacksonville unbeaten:
"Michigan vs. Ohio State remains the biggest rivalry in the North, because every other game in the BIG 10 sucks. And GA vs FL with both undefeated will never happen. The SEC schedule is a beast."
We're less than a week away from our first Jaguars broadcast of the year. We'll bring you the annual scrimmage from inside the Stadium on Friday...more details to follow.
But I'm excited to welcome in three familiar names to our coverage this year. Former Jaguars Kevin Hardy, Marco Coleman and Don Davey will join us on the Tailgate Show this year. With Jeff Lageman already on the broadcast, we have a lot of defensive perspective to bring listeners this year.
Tonight's Jaguars training camp practice features the "Oklahoma Drill" and offers fans the best chance to get up close and personal with the big hits.
Get there EARLY. If you walk in at 7, when practice starts, the stand will likely be full. Last year, remember, there were firemen on ladders behind the stands trying to get a good view of the action.
With training camp getting underway this weekend, here are some suggestions for fans and the best way to get up close and personal.
A few non-Jaguars thoughts before training camp begins.
At SEC media days, the first question to Georgia head coach Mark Richt was about the pre-season prognistications, some of which have the Bulldogs picked as the preseson #1 team.
Tomorrow, my world changes. My whole life changes. As our Program Director Mike Dorwart jokes (he is joking, right?), when the football season begins, I matter again.
It's a silly thing, really. And I probably shouldn't admit this, but every year, somtime around mid-June, I get the same feeling that I'm just not really accomplishing much.
I have to admit, I feel sorry for Jack Del Rio. Tuesday night on the season debut of The Jack Del Rio Show, the Jaguars head coach said that he would not cut Matt Jones right now, and that he wants to help Jones become a "better man."
What a difficult decision to make.
My hope is that we will create a dialog through this blog about topics that are important me and the listeners and WOKV.com readers at large.
